Transitional Living > Type of Resident

  The Transitional Living Program is available to young adults who:
-are not physically aggressive or a danger to themselves or others

-are referred by County Children and Youth or Juvenile Probation, and placed by court order

-have completed a pre-training program and demonstrated competency in the following areas: health and general safety, communication skills, money management, career skills, as well as effective coping mechanisms

-are able to attend the public school in West Shore School District either in regular classes, learning support classes, emotional support classes, alternative education classes, attend the CAIU, participate in GED preparation programs, or post- secondary educational programs as approved or required by the placing agency

-are able to function safely and effectively in a community based appartment setting

We are not set up to provide services to those who are psychotic, mentally retarded, severely brain damaged, or physically handicapped.
