A wide variety of recreational opportunities are available for clients of UMHC Residential to promote healthy bodies and strong, growing young people. We have a full time recreation counselor who designs recreational activities that are age appropriate, cooperative, and fun. Although the usual recreational staples of basketball, football, etc. are included in our programs, we don't rely on those types of activities solely. Non-competitive games, cultural activities and events, hiking, boating, and many other activities are employed to promote physical wellbeing, self esteem, and the positive use of free time. UMHC Residential clients are also encouraged to take part in community sports teams such as Little League Baseball, Girl's Softball League, YMCA Gymnastics, and many more.
