Residential Program > Introduction

UMHC Residential Care is a Community Residential Program grounded in the belief that every child has the potential for positive growth and development. The goal for every child is either family reunification or permanency planning to provide the child with the least restrictive living environment possible.

UMHC Residential Care's residential units serve a target population of males between the ages of 8-18 and females between the ages of 14-18. The children served at UMHC Residential Care have experienced behavior issues or family problems deemed severe enough to preclude them from remaining at home and in their community. All children are referred to us by County Child Welfare Agencies of Juvenile Probation Offices.
