Many of our
friends have thoughtfully considered the children in their estate
planning. The United Methodist Home for Children Legacy Society was
established to recognize those individuals who have included the Children's
Home in their will, named the Home as a beneficiary of a life insurance
policy, or created a charitable planned gift to benefit UMHC. These
individuals play a critical role in the children's future and are
such a blessing to UMHC.
If you have made provisions for the children as mentioned above, or
would like to, please let us know so we can include you in the Legacy
Society. Please click
here or phone us at 717.766.7652.

The Legacy Society was created to recognize those individuals who
have so generously included the children in their estate planning
by:
-Including the United Methodist Home for Children in their will.
-Naming the United Methodist Home for Children as a beneficiary of
a life insurance policy or retirement plan.
-Establishing a planned gift or trust to benefit the United Methodist
Home for Children.
Our donors are at the heart of everything we do here at UMHC. Please
click
here to notify us if you qualify as a member of the Legacy
Society so we can say thanks and include you in our special events
for members. No one will call or visit and you will receive our "Legacy
Society Welcome!" packet in the mail.

Maravene's Story...
Maravene Liverant was a remarkable lady. She was intelligent,
quick witted, and she loved to laugh. Maravene was a great businesswoman
and had an eye for antiques. For over thirty years she traveled
the New England states finding beautiful treasures for the customers
of her two antique stores. She was an accomplished equestrian
and owned a riding stable. She was an avid golfer. She coached
basketball. She taught Sunday School. And she loved the Children's
Home.
We lost a wonderful friend when Maravene passed away last September
at the age of 94. But before she left this world, Maravene made
provisions for the children she loved when she included the
Children's Home in her will. Maravene's legacy will live on
in the hearts and the minds of the children whose lives she
forever changed. |
