UMHC offers a variety of volunteer positions*. Some ways volunteers help UMHC are:
- Property maintenance
- Campus building renovations
- Administrative and clerical support
- Resident tutoring (limited to individuals with current teaching credentials)

*Please be advised that the PA Child Protective Services Law (Title 23 PA CSA) requires that adult volunteers working with out-placed youth must complete detailed application forms and pass several registry and background checks, including but not limited to: PA ChildLine, Pennsylvania State Police, and (in some cases) the Federal Bureau of Investigation. UMHC exists to protect the health, life and safety of kids who may already have experienced maltreatment. Child abuse in any form (suspected or founded) will be immediately reported and investigated in accordance with Child Welfare and Child Protective Services System laws at the federal, state, and local levels.
